High Performance Touring Board

We are very proud to introduce the “MANA”, an Enduro Seriesヤ shaped board. The 14′ MANA is a hand shaped displacement hull made from our Epoxy Sandwich Vacuum Construction (ESVC). This new shape is a crossover from a Race and a Touring design. The new bulbous style nose along with the v-shape bottom like our Comp series boards, gives even greater glide than a Touring board, yet still have the ability to track across from side winds. The MANA is also narrower than a touring board at 27.5″ wide, so although it’s not as stable as the Comp, the straighter rail lines equals more speed. Essentially we took away some width and added that volume to the nose, (approx. 300 litres still) so the MANA tends to sit higher on the water.

All KAHUNA EPIC SERIES models are hand shaped and use an Epoxy Sandwich Vacuum Construction (ESVC). The foam blank is wrapped with 2 full layers of fiberglass cloth on the top & bottom. A 3rd layer is added to the top of the board and is sandwiched with 3k Carbon.

For overall strength and durability, the standing zone has an additional top layer of fiberglass cloth wrapping over the deck extending to the underside of the board. The board is then vacuum bagged for perfect consistency producing a strong epoxy sandwich.
