Meaning: Heavenly Flower
Originally designed as a women’s specific board, the LEILANI’s 11’7” length x 28.75” width make it paddle-friendly and manoeuvrable for all paddlers.
Inspired by the fast lines of the popular Kahuna Comp series of boards, the LEILANI features the same “displacement hull” design with an aggressive reverse rocker in the nose. This shaping gives the LEILANI superior tracking capabilities that will have you manoeuvring headwinds and crosswinds with ease. Meanwhile, a small ridge line extending from the nose on the bottom of the hull will give you added directional stability. We also raised the forward deck and standing zone area to increase the load capacity for gear on the front of the board (and help keep your feet dry). The LEILANI comes equipped with our race-oriented “Touring Fin”.
The LEILANI’s manoeuvrability and beautiful finishing will definitely be a favourite amongst female SUP enthusiasts!

Construction Type
All KAHUNA EPIC SERIES models are hand shaped and use an Epoxy Sandwich Vacuum Construction (ESVC). The foam blank is wrapped with 2 full layers of fiberglass cloth on the top & bottom. A 3rd layer is added to the top of the board and is sandwiched with either fiberglass cloth or bamboo veneer.
For overall strength and durability, the standing zone has an additional top layer of fiberglass cloth wrapping over the deck extending to the underside of the board. The board is then vacuum bagged for perfect consistency producing a strong epoxy sandwich.
